Step 1: Gather required documents

For the submission of the replacement of your Certificate, you’ll generally need:

  • Original Belizean Nationality Certificate or
  • Police report if lost or stolen
  • Other supporting document. See Replacement of certificate for details.
  • must provide original and copies of these documents to complete your application

You will need to bring the required documents when you submit your application.

Step 2: Submission of application

Submission can be made in person or by an authorized party.

Applications for Certificate replacement may be submitted at any Immigration Office in Belize or at any Belizean diplomatic or consular mission.

Step 3: Informed of completion of certificate

Your application will be processed by the Nationality Department in accordance to the Belizean Nationality Act. You will thereafter be contacted on the outcome of your application.
